Trexmount Ventures have operated helicopter tour into Mt Kailash for hundreds of Pilgrimage from Nepal & India which is known as Kailash Mansarover Yatra. This helicopter tours is one of our most renowned destination amongst other.  The Tour begins with a flight from Kathmandu to Nepalgunj and then to Simikot, followed by a helicopter tour to Nepal-Tibet Border. After reaching into the boarder you will be driving with a 4WD Land cruiser to Lake Manasarovar, where your spiritual journey begins. Bathing in the sacred Lake Manasarovar is considered an essential part of the entire pilgrimage. After this all you will drive to the “Parikrama” walking around Mount Kailash which is said to erase the sins of a lifetime including pass Drolma La 5630 meter. Itinerary

Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu: Arrive in the Airport. Our representative will meet you at the Airport and transfer to Hotel. Briefing about the tour in the evening. 

Day 02: Nepalgunj: Sightseeing tour of Pashupatinath temple Buddhanath & Swyambhunath,. Afternoon fly to Nepalgunj and Transfer to hotel.

Day 03: Simikot: Morning flight to Simikot by regular flight. Explore the Simikot & acclimatize

Day 04: Purang: Fly by Helicopter to Hilsa and drive to Purang (12,580ft). O/N in the Guest House.

Day 05: Manasarovar lake:  Early morning, drive to Manasarovar (15,200 ft).

Day 06: Darchen: Drive to Darchen (15,500 ft) and excursion tour around.

Day 07: Diraphuk: Drive to Tarboche / Shersong and start hiking and parikrama to Diraphuk (16135ft).

Day 08: Zutrulphuk: Trek Continue Parikrama to Zutrulphuk (15,110 ft).

Day 09: Purang: Finish parikrama and drive to Purang (12,570 ft).

Day 10: Kathmandu:  Drive, Early morning to Sher, trek to Hilsa airport and then fly back to Kathmandu. Transfer into the Hotel.

Day 11: Departure: Breakfast in the Hotel, Transfer to airport for your flight back home.

CLOTHING: Fleece Jacket or Pullover, Waterproof Jacket and Trousers, Shirts and T-Shirts, Long Under Wear, Lightweight Cotton Long Pants, Short Under Wear, Sunglasses, Sun Hat or Scarf, Rain Coat.

Seasonal Equipments: (For Late Autumn and winter time): Warm Jacket, Warm Pants, Warm Trouser, Gloves, Thick Socks, and Woolen Hat.

OTHER EQUIPMENT: Daypack, Water Bottle (1), Sunglasses, Flashlight with Spare Bulbs, Sun Cream, Gaiters, Lip Salve.

NOTE: If you wear glasses, it is advisable to bring a spare pair since opticians are uncommon. If you wear contact lenses you may find that climatic changes and dust can create visual irritation, therefore, it is advisable to bring a pair of glasses.

Trip Information's

Darjeeling and Sikkim are located at an average elevation of 2,050m. The hills are part of the Mahabharat range or lesser Himalayan. The average temperature swings from 24 degrees Celsius in the plains and descents below 12 degrees Celsius on the elevated areas In Darjeeling. Talking about Sikkim, the entire state is hilly, with the elevation ranging from 280 m to 8,585 m. So, particularly you should be carrying warmer clothes when visiting to these places. Travel Insurance: Travel insurance is compulsory for all Trexmount Ventures. All clients MUST be insured to cover personal accident, medical expenses, cancellation, curtailment and repatriation. Please Note you should check that your insurance policy is adequate for your planned destination.

Vaccinations: No vaccinations are compulsory unless coming from a yellow fever infected region but we do recommend you are covered for: *diphtheria & TB, hepatitis A, *hepatitis B, *malaria, typhoid, polio and tetanus. NB* a Yellow Fever certificate is required if arriving from infected areas.

For traveling in the countryside and remote areas, immune globulin is also recommended to combat hepatitis A. We advise you to bring along a supply of antibiotics, an anti-diarrhea agent, and any other prescription drugs required by your current medical conditions.

Vaccination requirements are subject to change and should be confirmed before departure.

You may need additional inoculations so please contact your GP or a travel medical centre for further information. Please consult your doctor for up-to-date information and prescriptions for vaccinations, anti-malarial requirements and any reasonably foreseeable illnesses whilst traveling into Asia.

Note: Please don’t forget to do over all check up with your Doctor & get advice whether your health permit or not to go into the region.

  • if you have any pre-existing medical conditions which might affect you on tour, you make these known to your Travel Agent at the time of your booking

Medical Supplies

We advise that all passengers bring along their own personal first aid kit. Below is a list of some recommended items:

Band aids/bandages, laxatives, upset stomach remedy, anti-diarrhea remedy, Panadol/Aspirin, rehydration remedy, antiseptic cream/powder, sterile dressings, any relevant course of medication such as contraceptive pills.

Currency: The official currency is in Indian Rupee, The most commonly use symbol for Rupee is INR or Rs. One Rupee’s is divided into 100 Paisa.  There are coins for denominations of one, two, five and ten rupees and bank notes in denominations of 1,2, 5, 10, 20, 25, 50, 100, 500 and 1000 rupees.

 

Accommodations: We have put a lot of thought and effort into locating the most appropriate type of accommodation for each tour. It must be clean, comfortable and of a very high standard. Sikkim and Darjeeling are arguably the most famous tourist destination in the entire eastern Himalaya. The place offers great accommodation with excellent service and facilities.

 

 

Money Exchange:It is always preferable to carry your money safely and either with credit card | Master Card or Traveler Cheque. Banks are the reliable centers, where you can convert your money or encash traveler’s cheques. You can always refer to the fore rates and get the maximum out of your money. Here is list of banks that act as currency converters in Sikkim: Bank of Baroda, Bank of India, Canara Bank, Central Bank of India, Oriental Bank of Commerce, State Bank of India and more. You can also draw the local currency from the ATM at some place.

 

Language: Nepalis, Lepchas, and minor size of Bhutias and Limbus are the major communities in Sikkim. Nepalis speak Nepali, Lepchas speak Lepacha language where as Bhutias speak Sikkim language. Furthermore, the Nepali community of Sikkim is a mixture of various castes and a highly stratified society, speaking their own dialect and having a culture of their own.

 

Visa requirement: Sikkim is still a restricted area and one still requires a special inner line permit to enter Sikkim along with your Indian visa. You only require a valid Indian visa to visit Darjeeling, Assam and Meghalaya, whereas a special inner line permit is required to visit Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram and Manipur. Foreigners are still not permitted to enter Nagaland and Tripura.  You may obtain the Sikkim permit from the Indian missions at your respective countries and have it endorsed on your Indian visa informing them that you will be traveling to Sikkim. If you are still not capable to get your permit to enter Sikkim for any reason, you may get a temporary two days permit at the Sikkim-Bengal border (Rangpo) and extend it at Gangtok Sikkim.

 

Climate: Darjeeling has a temperate climate and the favorable season to visit the place is from September to June. In winters (December to January) the region has a cool climate within the average range of 5 °C to 7 °C. Minimum temperature during this season can be freezing –2 °C. Snowfalls are not common during winters. The spring season is excellent time to visit from March to May; The Raining season starts from the middle of June till the half of September. Autumn season in Sikkim is extended from half of September to Middle of November which is considered as a best season to visit across the state.

 

Water: You should not drink the water from the tap in Nepal because of bacteria.
You can either use water purification or buy the bottle of water. Now a day, some people are bringing their own water filter which is very impressive & useful.

Photography: Photography is on of the important part of the holiday that carries the memory of holiday in the photos.  Please remember, we are guests in the countries through which we travel and we may sometimes inadvertently cause offence by taking photographs without first asking permission.
It is absolutely forbidden by law to take photos at any borders, as they are all active military installation.
