Overview

This lovely Ama Yangri trekking is a recent addition to the Helambu Trekking region’s hidden jewels. Furthermore, this trip is becoming increasingly well-known. Moreover, it offers a unique cultural experience, incredible natural beauty, and a breathtaking panoramic view of the Himalayas from the Ama Yangri Peak (3771 meters). In addition, this is a spectacular observation point that will awe tourists with a 360-degree panorama of high mountains, hilly ranges, and lower valleys.

Similarly, on the top of the hill, there is a little Buddhist memorial belonging to Helmo Ama Yangri. Helmo Ama Yangri is a protection deity of the Helambu people against all-natural disasters, according to local Sherpas.

After a four-hour jeep trip from Kathmandu, Ama Yangri Trekking begins in Timbu. Tarke Ghang is another 4 hours of walking away. Tarke Ghang, in the Helambu area, is the Sherpa capital. Moreover, a beautiful environment, a unique village, and a historic Buddhist monastery characterize this wonderful Sherpa settlement.

After breakfast, we begin ascending in order to reach our trip’s final destination (Ama Yangri Peak). Because there are no tea cafes in between, the Trexmount Venture crew will collect your packed lunch and begin hiking higher. The wilderness trek will be led by our crew through a variety of natural splendor. En approach to Ama Yangri, there is a lovely Rhododendron forest, a variety of birds and mammals, as well as views of scenic villages and hilly ranges.

Trek Route

You can either take a bus or a motorcycle from Kathmandu to Tarkeghyang (Tarke Ghyang). The distance between Kathmandu and Tarkeghyang is about 80-85 kilometers. The journey should take you about 5 hours. The road is in fair condition along the way. Although some roads are in poor shape, the vast majority are in acceptable condition. You may rest assured that you will have a good time.

The trekking portion now begins; the trekking track is well-defined. The walk is moderate and ideal for novice and experienced hikers alike. The path ascends steeply through the woods. The views of the mountains and magnificent slopes eventually emerge from the quiet woodland and stone-paved trail.

Ama Yangri Peak

According to legend, It is a deity who has taken on the role of protection of the Helambu region. With a height of 3771 meters, it is the highest and closest peak to Kathmandu, the capital city. Helambu circuit trekking is a well-known traveler’s destination that offers a naturally and geographically fascinating tour that allows us to see spectacular mountains, lush and varied landscapes, and the unique Hyolmo culture. On a clear day, the Ama Yangri viewpoint provides an excellent view of the Manaslu, Annapurna, Langtang, and even Everest ranges.

The height of Ama Yangri is 3771 meters. It has a wide range of panoramic views. A fantastic hill station hike in Nepal is made possible by the super lovely view of high mountains, scenic beauty of vegetation, and far horizon view of hilly ranges and lower valleys. You’ll make your way back to the Tarke gang. We take a different road to Melamche Bazaar, passing through the villages of Sermathang, Kakane, and Dube Chour.
