Autumn Seasons is consider as best time to visit the country. Starts from middle of September to November. You will usually finds clear blue skies and extraordinary mountain views.
The year is divided into 4 different seasons in Nepal – winter, spring, monsoon and autumn. so another best period to visit the country for plant lovers is during spring from March to May when the flowers are in full bloom. The mountain slopes are covered with beautiful and colorful flowers. From June the downpour begins. It continues till late August. People can still do the trips into few region. Winter begins from December and continues till late February, it will be bit cold to go into high Himalayan region however you can do the trips into low elevation below 3000m. We can find really clear weather this time of year as well.
Nepal and its Himalayan range have a typical monsoonal two season a year. There’s the dry season from October to May and the wet season monsoon will starts from June to mid September. And the dry season starts which is best time to visit Nepal and around the Himalaya in many ways then in Monsoon.
Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS): Depending upon the zone of trekking, AMS might occur if one does not acclimatize well while trekking in the high Himalayan region. Usually the symptom of AMS can be felt above 3,000 m with thin air, lack of oxygen from low air pressure. The Rapid Ascend, dehydration and Hypothermia are the cause of the symptom. We have rated three different level of the Altitude Sickness:
Decision Making: All the decision is made by the victims and by leader or guide for
evacuation by any means of quick transportation and in helicopter.
Prevention is better than cure. A proper acclimatization before heading higher elevation, not to make Rapid Ascent; not to walk faster and drink plenty of fluid like water.
Treatment: The main healer and treatment is Descent, Descent, Descent, the best way of recovering. However, there are few medicine which maybe helpful when suffering: Oxygen, Diamox (Acetomolide) for AMS 125 mg. Before dinner, for sleeping problem if feeling suffocated, Nafedipine for HAPE, Steroids/Dexamethasone for HACE, Hyperbolic Bag – Gamow Bag
Important: Go up slowly with take your own pace. Do not let your body get cold. Do not leave your team member behind unattended, either trekker or porter. Drink plenty of fluids (at least 3 liters per day). Get all information about Altitude Sickness before your trekking tour that will make you confident to make your tour successful.

We had trekked the Annapurna Sanctuary trek in may 2012 with prem as our guide, who work with Trexmount Ventures. We had the most incredible time. Prem took care of us along the way, making sure that we where able to keep up with the pace. while at the local tea houses, Prem took special care to ensure that we where well feed and had plenty to drink. We had the opportunity to trade information about our countries and shares many card game.Much of the experience I enjoyed was learning about the local culture and traditional.I also had the experience to learn and become quite proficient at Karim boarda local board game that was at almost all tea houses along the way.I would look forward too sharing a beer and a game of Karim board after a long day of trekking. All and all I would have no hesitation to recommend Trexmount Ventures and prem as good company and excellent, caring guide for your trek Nepal.we had a nickname for prem, our Nepalese mountain goat,as! he was so quick and nimble along the most narrow of paths I especially remember trekking up to MBC on a gorgeous morning, leaving our camp at 5:00 am to reach MBC by 9:00 am.Once there we had breakfast and then prem decided he wanted to climb more that day I care remember clearly watching him scamper up the side of a rather step hill at least another 500m and then race back down for lunch. The trek will be one of the most memorable experiences of my life and I have to thank my guide prem & Trexmount Ventures. In fact I had extended the trek by 3 days,as we where having so much fun. Stephen Thomson ,Team Leader Canada
You do an excellent job on our visit in Nepal. We have trekked to Annapurna Base Camp. Other than the charming scenery of Annapurna Region, your guiding service is definitely the attraction of world wide people coming Nepal for trekking. Despite processing tough physical ability, you are mature responsible and patient person. Most of all,you are considerate of my need and my physical limitation. This impresses me much as you are young. you are not a trekking guide at all .you are my companion on this trekking trip. Before this trekking, I have none of experience on this (except doing work out on step-up machine at gym room). you care me a lot on the way. when I got sprain on the trial from Ghorepani to Tadapani, you gave me analgesic bale to realized my pain. Lastly, What I would like to say: this is my best decision to have a trekking trip in Nepal to admire the beauty of Annapurna Region and to meet you such nice and wonderful person. Thank You Very much Hari, Great organization !!! Amelia on behalf of the Team
We have just returned from a wonderful trek in Nepal. We were 7 ladies from New Zealand heading for Annapurna Base Camp. Many thanks Hari and his team at Trexmount Ventures provided us with great porters and guide Raj. It was NOT a walk in the park – – as with anything in the Himalayas – it was a challenge for us as we were all over “retirement age ” but determined to prove that we could do it. The trail was up and down ( Himalayan flat !!) and many many steps but on day 6 when we got to Base camp – it was worth the sweat and tired bodies. It snowed overnight so the scene that greeted us at sunrise was spectacular. No words to express the majestic mountains towering over us as we stood at 4130 meters. The thought of a 3 days trek back was a bit daunting for 3 ladies so they opted to get helicopter back to Pokhara. They said the scenery flying back over the valleys and lower hills was well worth the money !!! We 4 continued to plod down – more ups and downs but returned to the hotel at Pokhara, with a certain pleasure that we had completed the task in hand. once again, Many thanks Hari for arranging the helicopter. To Raj and the boys for making our trek so enjoyable. Helen Neale Team Leader. Best wishes Trexmount Ventures for the future From Helen, Christine, Miriam, Marguerite, Sue, Brigid and Jan – New Zealand
