Overview

Manaslu Tsum Valley Trekking is located in between massive mountains Manaslu and Ganesh HimalTrexmount Ventures has designed this classic trekking to make unique experience differently. Tsum valley is famous to explore traditional villages, old Buddhist monasteries, scenic Himalaya, wild life, rural life, unique local culture.  Tsum means “Valley of Happiness” in the local language. The Hidden Area of Manaslu Tsum Valley Trekking starts with interesting rough road drive to soti khola via Arughat. This is focal area of newly planned Nepal biggest hydro project. We start hiking follows the raging Budi Gandaki River valley. The trail of Tsum valley goes half of the trail of Manaslu Larke la pass trekking. The trail diverts North East to enter the mystical Hidden Area of Tsum Valley. Visiting beautiful villages of Chumling, Chokhangparo, Nile and Mu Gompa are making amazing moment of the trip. 

The trek continues toward Tsum valley and follows an arid moon of landscapes into the across border of Tibetan plateau. Manaslu Tsum Valley Trekking offering tremendous views of shining Himalaya. The eye catching beauty of massive 08th highest Mount Manaslu at 8,163 m-26781.5 ft and Buddha Himal are setting sounding sights. Detail Itinerary


  • Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.

    Our representative will come to the airport for transfer to the Hotel. After some refreshment in the hotel, Our Tour leader will make pre departure meeting in the Hotel or at our office. The meeting will covers trip related information & the collection of your Documents (passport copy, 2 passport size photos, Travel insurance).

  • Day 02: Kathmandu: Free day or City Sightseeing (pay Locally for sightseeing).

    After morning breakfast, have a free day for trek preparation. OR, you can sightsee in Kathmandu valley, visiting fascinating heritage and cultural sites. There are few places that are worth visiting such as holy Pashupatinath temple, Bouddhanath, Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple), Durbar Square (in Kathmandu, Patan and also in Bhaktapur), Museum,  monasteries, old historical Palaces and Gardens. Note:  this tour is optional so you can visit with place of your interest & pay locally.

  • Day 03: Drive to Soti Khola (730 m-2,395 ft) via Arughat (600m-1,968 ft) - 06 hrs journeys.

    In the morning depart hotel for an interesting drive from Kathmandu on the main busy road for a while. The drive follows the Trisuli River till Malekhu, a small town. From here drive leads north towards Dhading Besi, a mid hill town. From here on the dirt road reach the first overnight stop at Arughat bazaar, a large village with many shops and stores. This is a warm and low area with sub tropical temperatures. From Arughat have a jeep drive on the dirt track following Buri Gandaki River upstream through many scattered farm fields and villages, forested area with fabulous views of Ganesh II (7,118 m-23,353 ft), Ganesh IV (7,104 m-23,307.1 ft). Drive leads to a nice level road with a winding uphill in some sections, continue following the Buri Gandaki River to reach Soti Khola for first overnight stop of this trip. This is a small village with simple and basic accommodation.

  • Day 04: Trek to Machha khola (930 m-3,051 ft) - 05 hrs.

    After an interesting drive on the rough hilly road, we start the first trek of this remarkable adventure. Our walk follows to a downhill slope reaching river bank with small huts and tea shops. After a small break we continue on a stone steps to cross Nauli Khola (stream) with views of waterfalls nearby and then we reach Khanigaon village. From here on the gradual trail we cross another bridge to reach overnight halt in a small farm village at Machha Khola, a place with ‘fishing stream’.

  • Day 05: Trek to Jagat (1,410 m-4,625 ft) - 06 hrs.

    Upon leaving warmer area, we head towards cooler area. Our morning walk starts following Buri Gandaki River upstream. We pass many several smaller villages and reach Khorla Beshi. We then walk on a winding path to reach Tatopani village, which means ‘hot water /spring’.  The hot spring is a short walking distance close to this village by the river in the middle of forested area. After a nice break, we walk past the villages of Dovan, Yaruphants. We then cross a bridge with short climb to reach overnight stop in a moderate sized and populated Jagat village with nice traditional Nepali mid hill houses with many shops and a nice lodge.

  • Day 06: Trek to Ekle Bhatti (2,208 m-7,244 ft )- 6 hrs.

    After breakfast we head towards Ekle Bhatti following the Burigandaki river. Our walk continues by passing several small villages to reach Sidibas Bazaar. Then we cross a small suspension bridge at Nagjet to reach Philim village We then walk through golden terraces of wheat and climb a rocky ridge that leads uphill to our overnight stop at Ekle Bhatti.

  • Day 07: Trek to Chumling (2,386 m-7,828 ft) - 06 hours.

    From here our morning walk passes into a narrow gorge.  We then descend towards the Tsum Valley area. We walk further with a climb into beautiful pine and rhododendron woodland reaching a small nice village of Lokpa. We then cross a suspension bridge over Lungwa Khola to follow the path to our overnight stop at Chumling village, the first village of Tsum Valley area.

  • Day 08: Trek to Chokhangparo (3,010 m-9,875 ft) - 05 hours.

    Morning starts with gentle downhill path to cross a suspension bridge over opposite bank of Smatiking Khola. We then walk with superb views of the Ganesh Himal range. Our trek continues for another few hours reaching  Chokhang Paro for overnight halt. The afternoon is free explore the village with views of mountains.

  • Day 09: Trek to Nile (3,361 m-11,027 ft) via Milarepa cave - 06 hours.

    Upon leaving Chokhangparo,  we follow a high trail with a climb, and then up to Lamagaon to reach Milarepa cave and Chi Pu Gompa, an interesting place with time to visit an old meditation cave of 11th century poet and saint Millerapa. Our walk continues further to cross a suspension bridge to reach at Nile which is last big village of upper Tsum valley for overnight stay in this nice moderate size village.

  • Day 10: Trek to Bhajyo (Chhekya) (4030m/13218ft) via Mu Gompa - 07 hours

    We are currently near the Tibetan fringe. Stroll toward the west bank of the valley through the Tibetan scenes. Ascend to the Mu Gompa. From Mu Gompa, climb additionally up to Bhajyo and We are very near Tibet and get a decent perspective of the Tibetan crests and also the Ganesh Himal extend.   • Day 11: Rest at Bhajyo (Cheekya)

  • Day 13: Trek to Chumling (2,386 m-7,828 ft) - 06 hours.

    Upon leaving Rachen Gompa, we retrace the journey on the same trail by descending towards Chhokang Paro village. From here we continue to descend to cross a bridge over Sarpu Khola and then continue  downhill to Chumling, a small and beautiful village with wonderful scenery of green valleys, hills and high mountains.

  • Day 14: Trek to Bihi (3130m/10,266ft): 6hrs

    From here we reach the warmer and tropical climatic region with rice fields and terraces. Our walk follows along the river side to continue to Lokpa village. We then head northern side of manaslu valley and Pass the town of Dorjon Kharka just before achieving Rana. Crosss the vast suspension connect in the fundamental valley of the Manaslu Budhi Gandaki River. On the off chance that intrigued, walk additionally up to the town of Bihi.

  • Day 15: Trek to Namrung (2540m/8331ft): 6 hrs

  • Day 18: Trek to Samdo (3860m/12,660 ft): 4/5 hrs

  • Day 25: Departure

    Breakfast in the Hotel, Transfer to Tribhuvan International airport for  departure towards your next destination.
