Detail Itinerary


  • Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.

    Our representative will come to the airport for transfer to the Hotel. After some refreshment in the hotel, Our Tour leader will make pre departure meeting in the Hotel or at our office. The meetings will covers trip related information’s & collecting your Documents (passport copy, 2 passport size photos, Travel insurance).

  • Day 02: Kathmandu: Free day or City Sightseeing (pay Locally for sightseeing)

    After morning breakfast, free day for trek preparation. OR, you can do sightseeing tour in Kathmandu valley with visiting into fascinating heritage and cultural sites. There are few places that are worth to visit such as holy Pashupatinath temple, Bouddhanath, Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple), Durbar Squire ( One is in Kathmandu, in patan and also in Bhaktapur), Museum,  monasteries, old historical Palaces and Gardens. Note:  this tour is optional so you can visit with place of your interest & pay locally.

  • Day 03: Fly to Lukla 2,800m-9,186 ft and trek to Chutanga 3,430m-11,253 ft - 04 hrs.

    Early morning depart from the hotel for the flight to Lukla on reaching Kathmandu domestic airport board in a small plane Dornier or Twin Otter, flight offers great views array of snow capped peaks with Mt. Everest as the plane touches down after 30 minutes of scenic flight to Lukla, a unique airstrip with a runway with uphill slope, Lukla airport at present named after legendry climber Tenzing & Hillary Airport. After a time here for a while then start the walk towards to our first night camp on the outskirt of Lukla at Chutanga, from Lukla following our guide above Lukla and heading into wooded area of pines, firs and rhododendron to reach our campsite in a nice grassy filed at Chutanga a small settlement with few shades and huts, a cattle herders summer pasture.

  • Day 04: Trek to Tuli Kharka 4,300 m-14,108 ft - 06 hrs.

    From here our real adventure begins leaving the last human settlement for a week or more, heading towards complete wilderness with a steep climb across Kalo Himal of Nau Lekh rocky ridge range, separating Khumbu and Hinku valley and beyon east towards Makalu area, after a tough climb reaching top ridge adorned with prayer flags at 4,450 meters high, this pass is called Zatrwa Og, walk continues to cross over Zatrwa-La at 4,600 m, offering tremendous views of Dudh Kosi river valley, Karyolung and Lumding Himal, as the walk leads downhill to Tuli Kharka on a summer pasture field for overnight camp, after a great trek of the day.

  • Day 05: Trek to Mousum Kharka 3,430m-11,253 ft - 04 hrs.

    After a wonderful overnight stop at Tuli Kharka, morning walk leads downhill with super view of Peak 43 and Kusum Kanguru peaks, after few hours of pleasant walk through alpine forest reaching into hidden valley of Khumbu at Hinku area, overlooking magnificent views of Mera Peak, after a nice break walk continues on this lovely valley and through thick rhododendron and pine tree forested area to reach another summer pasture at Mosum Kharka for overnight camp

  • Day 06: Trek to Tagnag 4,360m-14,304 ft - 05 hrs.

    From this lovely campsite walk continues closer to our destination at first to stop at a wonderful place in Tangnag, morning walk carries on this pleasant valley in woodlands surrounding, as the walk leads on a wide open valley with a grazing countryside with several spread out Sheppard huts and shelter and then reaching at Gondishung 4,350 meters close to Tagnag. Gondishung an interesting place with 200 year old small Gompa (monastery) located on boulders in a shade with other prayer monuments and flags, after this impressive place a few hours of good walk brings at our overnight camp at Tagnag, camping close to several small huts serving as temporary stores and lodge for the trekkers and staff walking this route to Mera area around Hinku valley.

  • Day 07: Rest day at Tagnag for acclimatization.

    After several days of good and hard trek, a free and rest day here at Tagang a wonderful place to be for leisure walk and hike, most important for acclimatization before heading higher area for the climb of Mera Peak, around here several high hills for vista of surrounding snow capped peaks.

  • Day 08: Trek to Khare 5,000m-16,404 ft - 05 hrs.

    With a pleasant stop at Tagnag , morning heading tour main highlight of this trip at Khare and base camp for Mera peak climb, morning trek leads with few ups and downs along with wonderful scenery of surrounding landscapes and hills of Hinku valley, as the walk heads to Charpatti Tal (lake) dammed with rocks and moraine, after going by the icy lake a short climb and then downhill to Dig Kharka also called as Khare our overnight camp before Mera Peak.

  • Day 09: Trek to Mera Base Camp 5, 300 m-17,388 ft - 04 hrs.

    From Khare morning walk is short walk to set up base camp for Mera Peak climb, some trekkers does in a day from Tagnag, however to be on the same side and to save energy, we have set the itinerary a day longer so that everyone is fit for the climb, walk continues over boulders and moraine of Mera glacier, passing an icy sections for a while and a gradual descend to reach at Mera Base Camp for lunch and overnight with afternoon free to hike around and to check the route of the climb.

  • Day 10: Trek and climb to High camp 5,780 m-18,963 ft - 04 hrs.

    It is always better to have one more camps as High Camp for the climb of Mera Peak climb, this allows more time for practice and sorting out equipments for a successful climb, trek with a climb across Mera la (pass) to reach at Mera High Camp, located beneath the towering peak of Mera in serene environment, in high camp afternoon free to relax with final preparation for the next day early morning climb.

  • Day 11: Summit to Mera Peak at 6,470 m /21,227 ft - 08 hrs.

    A Big Day! Our main target and destination starting before the crack of dawn as the climb leads over moraine and rubble of ice falls and some crevices, following the route set by our lead guide reaching high above towards last snow slope, most of the climb involves walking roped together, including the glacial crossings. As the climb progress where our route needs leads leftwards, avoiding serac and crevasses before a turn towards north over snow covered scree in the margin between the glaciers at the base of main summit ridge. The summit ridge a classic which undulates towards the main summit to reach by a final tricky snow pitch, after a vigorous climb with rest in between reaching the top summit, catch your breath and relax, enjoy super panorama of mountains that encircles the top at 6,470 meters high. After a memorable moment reaching the highest point of this adventure descend on the same route back to base camp and rest whole afternoon.

  • Day 12: Trek to Khothey 3,600 m-11,811 ft -06 hrs.

    After a successful climb being on top of the world with awesome life time experience, return journey on the same route but feeling much better heading lower alpine and back into tree lines area, to camp at Khotey a small summer grazing filed.

  • Day 13: Trek to Tuli Kharka 4,200 m-13,780 ft - 06 hrs.

    Continue return journey as the walk leads through dense alpine woodland and summer pasture with a short steep climb to reach a hill top ridge and descend to a nice grassy meadow for last overnight camp of this adventure as next day sleeping in lodge at Lukla before Kathmandu.

  • Day 14: Trek to Lukla 2,860 m-9,383 ft - 07 hrs.

    Today, a long and hard walk of this adventure trekleads back to the high passes over Nualekh at Kalo Himal ridge and over Zatrwa Og, Zatrwa-La, after a steep haul descend towards Chutanga and forested area, after a short rest and then few hours walk reaches back to civilization at Lukla for last overnight stop in the high hills and mountains of Khumbu and Everest area, with last night dinner farewell to porters and camping staffs.

  • Day 15: Fly to Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.

    At Lukla the flight operates from early morning to Kathmandu, sometimes the flight time can get delayed due to unfavorable and bad weather, as per the flight time board in a small Dornier or Twin Otter plane for the scenic flight back to Kathmandu, on reaching at Katmandu domestic terminal Trexmount Ventures staff transfer you back to respective hotels in the heart of Kathmandu around Thamel area.

  • Day 16: In Kathmandu with cultural tour at places of interest.

    This day reserved day in case of flight delay in Lukla due to unfavorable weather conditions, on this extra free day you can book for sightseeing tour, in our interesting cultural heritage tour around Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Patan this cities full of world heritage sites, however some of them been damaged from recent earthquake.

  • Day 17: Departure:

    Breakfast, transfer to Tribhuvan International airport for departing from Nepal.
