Best Time for Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek

The Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek can be enjoyed throughout the year, but the best time to trek is during spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November). These seasons offer clear skies, pleasant temperatures, and breathtaking Himalayan views, making your trek comfortable and visually spectacular.

Spring (March to May)

Spring is ideal for hikers who want to experience blooming rhododendron forests along the trail. The weather is mild, the skies are mostly clear, and the mountain panoramas are at their most vibrant, offering excellent opportunities for photography.

Autumn (September to November)

Autumn is the most popular trekking season. After the monsoon rains, the air is fresh and clean, providing crystal-clear views of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, and Machapuchare peaks. Temperatures are moderate, making trekking easier for beginners and families.

Winter (December to February)

Winter treks are less crowded and offer peaceful trails with snow-dusted landscapes. However, temperatures can drop significantly, especially at higher altitudes, so warm clothing and proper gear are essential.

Monsoon (June to August)

Monsoon season is generally not recommended for the trek due to heavy rainfall, slippery trails, and landslide risks. The visibility of mountains is also often poor during this time.
